Bill of Materials
Description
This 3D-printed iPhone 17 Pro–style phone features a removable back panel. The rear section can be removed to reveal a built-in compartment for sticky notes, Post-it notes, or small notepads, turning the model into a functional desk accessory.
The removable back panel uses magnetic closure to ensure clean alignment and secure seating when reattached. It also allows for a holder that protects your notes and can go with you on the go. In addition, the front face of the model is magnet-compatible, allowing the entire phone model to be mounted to magnetic surfaces such as lockers, whiteboards, refrigerators, or metal desks.
This design blends visual accuracy, modular interaction, and everyday usefulness, making it ideal as a desk prop, organizer, or novelty display item.
Assembly process:
1.) Apply adhesive (I used super glue) to each of the magnet holes on the lid and on the inside of the phone model.
2.) Place the 4 magnets facing north side up on the phone side and the south side up magnets on the lid of the phone model.
3.) Allow for the adhesive to dry if using superglue.
4.) To assemble design simply place the lid on the back so the magnets align with the Apple logo facing upright.
The images below depict what it should look like when it's finished.
