Vito W447 V-Class Fuel Cap Holder, Tankcap Bracket

A simple holder for the fuel cap of a Mercedes Vito / V-Class W447. Simply print and stick on.

I attached it with “Würth Klebt & Dichtet Power”, but double-sided tape is also strong enough. I integrated grooves at the bottom of the model so that the adhesive has more surface area to stick to.

This way, the fuel cap can be safely stowed away during refueling. It always annoyed me that it otherwise dangled freely. There is no AdBlue in my vehicle, so there is no guarantee that it will fit there as well. However, according to the pictures I have seen, there is also enough space for the holder there.

On one side, there is a kind of tray at the bottom, a recess, to catch fuel from the cap so it doesn't run down. This “tray” must, of course, face downwards during installation.

Since the model has many angles, I recommend a minimal layer height for a clean finish. If you choose the version with text, pay attention to the correct orientation, otherwise, the text will not look good after ironing. The lines must run vertically through the text to achieve a clean finish.

Please note that the filament must be resistant to fuel and oils. I used ASA and had no problems. This might also save you from using the rubber tether, but I haven't tried that.
