Floating Display Shelf 60mm

A museum-quality desktop fossil based on the legendary American Museum of Natural History specimen.

This T-Rex Skull replica brings the ferocious history of the Cretaceous period to your desk. Modeled directly after the famous AMNH 5027 specimen—the iconic Tyrannosaurus Rex discovered at Big Dry Creek, Montana—this model captures the specific profile and jaw structure that defined our understanding of the "King of the Dinosaurs" for decades. It is a perfect display piece for dinosaur enthusiasts, educators, and collectors.

Design Features

This model is defined by its Paleontological Accuracy, faithfully recreating the massive crushing jaw and serrated teeth of the AMNH 5027 specimen. The Complex Skull Geometry features accurate fenestrae (skull openings) and the distinct brow ridges characteristic of the species. Due to the complex organic overhangs of the jaw and teeth, Strategic Supports are required to ensure the teeth print sharply and the arches of the skull remain true to the fossil.

Material & Craftsmanship

The focus of this design is simulating the texture and weight of fossilized bone. Printed here on the Bambu A1 using white PLA+/Pro filament, the matte finish absorbs light similarly to real bone, highlighting the cracks and surface details. The layer lines blend naturally with the organic texture of the skull, creating a convincing "fresh out of the dig site" appearance.

Printing Protocol: Recommended Settings

For the sharpest teeth and best preservation of the skull shape, this model is best printed vertically or resting on its flat posterior base (as shown).
