Creality Sermoon S1 Scan Bridge Mount Fix
Print Profile(1)

Description
This project addresses two design issues of the stock mounting system used to attach the Creality Sermoon S1 3D scanner to the Creality Scan Bridge wireless handle, both of which noticeably affect comfort and accuracy during handheld scanning.
Issue #1. Mount Tilt Caused by Curved Scanner Housing
The mounting plate is attached to the scanner body using a flat rubber pad, while the scanner housing in this area has a curved surface.
As a result, tightening the screw causes the mounting plate to sit at a slight angle.
Important note:
the stock flat rubber pad is glued to the mounting plate, but the adhesive is weak and the pad can be removed quite easily.
Solution
I scanned the scanner body around the mounting hole and created a custom-shaped compensating gasket that precisely follows the curvature of the housing.
This gasket replaces the stock flat rubber pad and allows the mounting plate to sit flat and evenly, eliminating tilt.
Recommended print settings:
- Material: TPU 95A
- Layer height: 0.1 mm
- Infill: 100%
Issue #2. Play Between Mounting Plate and Scan Bridge Handle
There is a small gap between the mounting plate and the Scan Bridge handle.
During use, this gap is felt as noticeable play, reducing rigidity and control.
Solution
A thin shim installed between the mounting plate and the Scan Bridge handle completely eliminates the play.
Recommended print settings:
- Base thickness: 0.2 mm
- Layer height: 0.1 mm
- Infill: 100%
- Material: PETG or TPU
- Thickness can be scaled if needed to match individual units
What’s Included
- Curvature-matching gasket for the scanner body to mounting plate interface
- Anti-play shim for the mounting plate to Scan Bridge handle interface
Result
After installing both parts:
- the mounting plate sits perfectly flat;
- all play is eliminated;
- the connection becomes significantly more rigid and stable;
- handheld scanning feels more precise and comfortable.
This project is intended for Creality Sermoon S1 owners using the Scan Bridge handle who want to improve the stock mounting system without making any permanent modifications.
