The 5L Samla Organizer

Every maker likely have some Ikea 5L Samla box to store his stuff. This is a flexible set of trays to help you organizing them.

How to use them :

The trays can be full height (1 level), half height (2 levels), one third (3 levels), one fourth (4 levels). Half height trays and one fourth height can be used on the same box.

Decide how many levels you want and download the corresponding print profile.

For each level select how many compartments you want (can be 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10) and print the corresponding plate. Because of the shape of the Samla box, a tray can only be installed at the level it is intended to. A benefit is that you can install trays at the top of the box with nothing below.

In each print profile, the plates are organized by level from top to bottom and the name of the plate define the level

• For 2 levels : “Top half”, “Bottom half”
• For 3 levels : “Top third”, “Mid Third”, “Lower third”
• For 4 levels : “Top fourth”, “Third fourth”, “Second fourth”, “Bottom fourth”

You won't make any mistake on the number of compartment but double check you selected the right level before printing
