DJI SDR mount x Komodo
Print Profile(1)

Description
This component is a **mounting bracket** designed to house and secure **DJI transmitters in a horizontal (lying down) position**.
It is intended to be mounted **behind a RED Komodo**, where space is limited but a **solid, compact, and reliable** solution is needed
Main Function
The mount is designed to
- **Support the DJI transmitter** stably
- **Prevent rotation or play** during dynamic shots, vibrations, or movements
- Keep the transmitter **aligned and protected**, without stressing connectors or cables
The “lying down” design lowers the center of gravity and reduces the camera's rear bulk, improving balance and practicality on the rig
Construction Features
- **Compact and massive structure**, without elastic parts
- **Internal X-braces** on the main side to increase torsional rigidity
- **Countersunk front hole** for the fixing screw, which allows for
- clean mounting
- flush screw head
- **Side shoulders** that act as a guide and stop for the transmitter, preventing longitudinal movements
Recommended Material
👉 **Rigid PLA**, printed **solid (100% infill)**
Reasons
- the DJI transmitter is **light**, so elastic materials are not needed
- PLA ensures
- **maximum rigidity**
- **dimensional accuracy**
- absence of unwanted flexing
- printing solid eliminates any risk of
- micro-vibrations
- deformations over time
- flexing during use
PETG or TPU are not recommended because they would introduce unnecessary elasticity
Recommended Print Orientation
- Print the part **resting on its widest side**
- Layers oriented to **work under compression**, not flexion
- No supports or minimal supports, depending on tolerances
Practical Application
This mount is ideal for
- lightweight cinema rigs
- FPV cine-lifter setups
- gimbals or custom cages for RED Komodo
- situations where **absolute reliability without unnecessary weight** is needed
