Description

Ludo is simple and fun game know under Ludo, Mensch ärgere Dich nicht, Man, Don't Get Angry or Člověče, nezlob se!

I wanted to make nice, small, easy to print and assemble portable game…

Model

FEATURES

  • Colorful even without AMS
  • 3 different types of figures
  • Easy to print and assemble
  • No supports, flawless print
  • No glue, magnets or anything else
  • You might need a dice (so you have higher chance of that dice being true, if you do not care, you can just print one…)
  • 124x124x22mm

HOW TO PRINT?

Choose my profile MULTICOLOR AMS or MULTICOLOR NO AMS. They contain all the parts you need but dice.

  • Main Body
  • Lid
  • Color plate - center
  • Color plate - corner
  • 5 figures of each color (you only need 4 but you know how it is…)

Print in desired colors and you are good to go!

ASSEMBLY

It is designed in a way that you do not need glue or magnets. It utilizes springy latch mechanisms, so you can replace them if you wish to print from different color.

Print all main body and the lid. Then there are 4 sets of color pieces (figures + center and corner plates). Cut them apart with cutter and assemble main body with center and corner pieces.

The lid also just snaps in a place when inserted to hold figures inside while traveling.

DIFFERENT FIGURES?

I was playing with a design of figures to find what is the best fit so I ended up with 3 different options for you. By default profiles contain clearance type of figure.

  • Clearance - good for most cases, fits quite nice into the board, but can fall of.
  • Friction - it is tapered and slightly oversized. This results in nice snug fit if desired.
  • Spring - ideal for when you want to travel, thanks to springy design they fit snugly yet they are easy to remove.

HOW TO PLAY IT?

Game Board and Setup:

  • The game board consists of 40 spaces.
  • Each player has four game pieces, which start in the “Home” area.
  • The game pieces are placed in the four spaces on the left side of the board.
  • The colored space to the left of the center is the starting space for each player.
  • The white space to the right of the starting space leads to the player’s home row.

Gameplay:

  • Players take turns rolling a six-sided die.
  • The rolled number determines how many spaces a game piece can move forward.
  • Rolling a six allows a player to bring a piece into play (from the “Home” area to the starting space) and roll again.
  • If a piece is on the starting space and there are still pieces in the “Home” area, it must be moved out.
  • Pieces can jump over others and can knock an opponent’s piece back to their “Home” area.
  • Players cannot knock their own pieces or move beyond the last space in their home row.

Winning Condition:

  • The first player to get all their pieces into their home row wins the game.
