Description

Just dropped: An even smaller, 1:87 (HO Scale) Traffic Message Board, check it out!

I wanted to version of a poop chute for my H2S that didn't need any screws or anything and that was low profile so I could have the printer against a wall and table. This version attaches directly to the lower spool holder cleat and sits rather securely:

The basket / bucket sits on the table and stays aligned to the chute using a indexing feature:

Both parts print without the needs of supports though I did add a brim to the chute to keep it firmly attached during print:

I will note that printing this out of PLA will cause the poops to likely stick since they're still hot. I'd recommend a higher temp material.

EDIT: I've seen a couple comments about having to move the cleat from the top position to the bottom on the H2C to create the attach point for the chute:

After clarification we got it all figured out. In case your slide sits to high for the shoot there is a spot lower down to move the reel cleat down. Thank you to Joey for pointing that out.

Sorry for the confusion, they are not meant to lock into each-other because the H2 series printers sit ontop of very flexible feet which cause the whole body to move around during printing, to prevent the chute from restricting the movement they are only meant to keep things aligned but not lock the chute to the table. Can you take a photo of how the chute is not aligned to the dump spot? It is aligned on my model but maybe something is off?

That makes sense for the not locking together. I thought it locked together to float on side. This is how it locks on the back of my H2S, it locks way above the shoot itself.

If it's the H2S there should be a second cleat below. It was pre-installed on mine, maybe you have to move that top cleat to the bottom position so it aligns? I modified the post for this design to show this, here's the image:

Hi @user_1302914049 you have to move the spool cleat to the lower position to use it (see the image I attached where I point to the location) sorry for the confusion

Thank you for your reply, I initially thought from the instructions that only the H2C needed adjustment. I have now completed the adjustment and will update my review as soon as possible. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to tell me how to solve this problem

It's a perfect design. Just what I was looking for. My H2C stands quite near the back wall and wedged between two cabinets. The poop chute fits like a glove! Love the way it 'connects' to the machine without needing extra screws, magnets and such. Great job!

Perfect for my H2S. Only have the slide part, but easier to collect in front/side rather than the back.

The H2S holder fits well. So far, only the gutter has been printed. The print adheres well to the bed without supports. I recommend it.

used PETG-CF and almost came out flawless. not sure what happened as I’m new to printing, but my H2D keeps having this “stringing” issue.

Nice print apart from the last layer which created a very rough edge, if you could take that off it will be perfect. thanks
