Description

This is a compact mechanical gearbox that I engineered to fit in the palm of your hand. It features 3 gears, each one amplifying one another with a 1:2.4 gear ratio. This means that a the whole gearbox has a 1:5.76 gear ratio. A single spin on one side will make the other side spin 5.76 times. This goes the other way too, meaning that it takes 5.76 spins on the other side to make the other side spin once. The print consists of only 5 parts and can be quickly and easily put together with a simple snap fit mechanism. Taking less than 50 minutes and 12.47 grams of filament to print, this is the perfect fidget for anyone who’s into engineering and gears

Printing Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Print Bed
    • Clean the print bed thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to ensure proper adhesion.
    • Additional adhesive for the print bed is highly recommended! I suggest using 3D-Lac spray or a glue stick.
       
  2. Download the Print Profile
    • Send the pre-configured print profile to your Bambu Lab printer through the Bambu Handy app or Download and open the pre-configured print profile in Bambu Studio.
       
  3. Select Your Printing Options
    • Choose your filament type and color.
    • Select your print bed type (e.g., textured or smooth).
    • Confirm your printer settings, ideally for a Bambu Lab printer.
       
  4. Start Printing
    • Begin the print job. No supports are necessary.
