I wanted to assemble furniture using dowels but I couldn't find any model that was accurate and sturdy enough to withstand the heat from drilling.
This jig is designed to assemble 18mm panels with 8mm dowels.
Making
- 1x jig
- 2x spacers
- 4x 608zz bearings
In each hole, press fit a 608zz bearing, followed by a spacer, and then another 608zz bearing.
Usage
The usage of this jig is straightforward:
- align the two pieces to be assembled
- mark each piece with a pencil
- place and secure the jig and the piece together with a clamp
- use a drill with an 8mm bit to drill the dowel holes
