Indoor Wall Bar Template
Print Profile(1)

Description
Our daughter wanted a pull-up bar, but there's no suitable place in the garden. Online, we found a pull-up bar from FatMonkey , but 300€ for multiplex wood worth 30€ wasn't worth it to us
We bought the bar and the retaining rings from FatMonkey and obtained wooden strips 15mm thick and 20cm wide from the hardware store. Using the template, we milled the grooves for the bar into the strips
The template can be attached to the wood with the two drill holes and 3mm wood screws. There are stops on the underside so that you can create a uniform pattern with the template. Once one board is finished, it can be screwed to the second board, then the first board serves as a template
The process is:
- Place the template
- Mark the contour with a pencil
- Remove the template
- Roughly saw out the contour with a jigsaw
- Place the template and screw it down
- Create the contour with a router and flush trim bit
- Remove the template
- Align the template using the previous contour
- …
For materials, we used:
- 4 multiplex panels 15mm x 200mm x 2200mm (cut to size at the hardware store)
- 4 threaded rods M10x100mm
- 4 M10 nuts
- 4 M10 washers (large)
- 4 flange nuts M10
- 4 rubber strips 30mm x 200mm
- Contact adhesive for rubber/wood
- Wood screws 3x25
- Wood glue
- wooden bar from Fatmonkey
For tools, we used:
- Cordless drill
- Circular saw
- Jigsaw
- Router with flush trim bit
- Clamps
- Wood drills 10mm and 12mm
