However, he did not upload updated files later, and the assembly video is also a composite of the first and second versions on YouTube
Some BOM lists are for the first version, while multiple parts of the uploaded source files are for the second version
Also, links and configurations need to be updated to suit purchases in China
I spent 2 months before the snow season re-making, organizing, and modifying it because I wanted my son to complete such a project before the snow season and take it to the ski resort to play
Through these updates, I have also adapted to domestic parts suppliers to reduce costs
The total material is approximately 2.8kg
Hardware is approximately 50 RMB
The axle, including processing costs, is about 150 RMB. The original axle was slightly broken
The motor gearbox and remote control range from 200 to 500 RMB, depending on your needs
A regular 540 motor can be used with a low-power toy remote control and a 4000mAh battery for about 200 RMB
If using a high-power motor, a 300W ESC and a more professional remote control are needed, costing around 500 RMB
If at a ski resort, helping you pull a snowboard or deliver a drink should be no problem
This way, everyone can happily drive the snowcat and play in the heavy snow this winter
I made some minor design improvements to allow for higher speeds
1. Improved front shell to allow for larger capacity and save 300g of material
2. Improved drive wheel structure to adapt to the powerful torque of the 540 high-power motor
3. Added elastic tensioner with inserts to adjust elasticity
4. Modified track mold to directly secure M3 self-locking nuts
5. Drilled holes for lights for easy wiring
6. Modified your BOM list to use standard procurement within China
7. Limited gears and created axle processing drawings 8. Ongoing design: redesigning the snow shovel to allow for 4-way adjustment (up, down, left, right)
