Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you like this, boost it so I can make more things. I like to make things.

BE SURE TO USE THE “Download STL/CAD files” OPTION TO DOWNLOAD. THE 3MF IS AN EXAMPLE OF PRINTING ON AN AMS, BUT THERE ARE MORE CHOICES IN THE STL'S.

Nonfunctional but dimensionally accurate model of 12 gauge shotgun shell or ball round. Balls are .68" paintball blanks. Base can be flat (boring, but easier to print), or with imprinted text in English or Russian for a Saiga. Shot version is 2 ¾" aka 70mm, but if you need another length, lemme know. The ball shell is a bit shorter, sized to the balls.

I printed in red PLA for the shell style with a silk PLA base. For the ball rounds I used a translucent PETG I had on hand and it came out well enough.

If you have an AMS, you can print the shell type in one go, as demonstrated in the 3MF download. If you don't have an AMS or for the ball shell, just print the desired pieces and superglue together.

I made these for the drum magazines for a Saiga replica I did; see https://makerworld.com/en/models/2105724-articulated-replica-ak47-74-type56-saiga-12
