Description

This is a complete 3D-printable redesign of the Wera Tool-Check PLUS system, created with modularity, repairability, and print-friendliness in mind.
If a component of your original Tool-Check PLUS breaks, this model allows you to print a drop-in replacement—or upgrade the functionality with improved features not found in the originalversion.

🔧 Key Features

• Fully Modular Replacement System

Every major part of the Tool-Check PLUS has been recreated in CAD with 3D printing tolerances in mind.
You can print and replace only the component you need, making the system repairable and long-lasting.

• Added Locking Mechanism (Not Included in the Original)

My own Tool-Check PLUS (2nd iteration) is without a locking mechanism, so I designed and integrated an improved lock.
This prevents accidental opening, makes the set more secure, and improves overall usability.

• Reinforced Side Holder for the Screwdriver

The screwdriver side holder has been upgraded to a clip-in place design, now secured with:

  • 2× M3 screws (10-12 mm length)
  • 2× M3 nuts

This provides a far more rigid and reliable mount compared to the original loop-fit design.

• Includes Original-Style Side Holder (TPU-Required)

For users who prefer the classic flexible side holder, the files also include:

  • Original-style attachment (print in TPU)
  • Original-style variant with optional M3 screw mounting

The TPU version closely mimics the springy feel of the factory part. It is also how you mount it originally.

If you are having trouble removing the bits from the bit holder try the “NO LIP” print profile. The first plate is a Tester so you can choose the best fit for your bit!

• Optimized for 3D Printing

  • Designed with tolerances suitable for common FDM printers
  • altough I'm an advocate of no supports for this design to work there had to be some
  • Intended for PLA, PETG, or ABS components (depending on strength needs)
  • TPU recommended only for the original flexible side holder

• Assembly
