Boost Me (for free)

I spent a lot of time fine-tuning this kit to ensure a perfect fit for the different sizes of RÅSKOG trays. Since I’m doing this on the side, your support really helps keep the project alive! If you found this useful, please consider Boosting the model—it helps with visibility and lets others find this for their own cart.

I’ll keep adding new sizes as you guys report different tray dimensions, so stay tuned!

Attention - please read: the measurements of the IKEA RÅSKOG cart varies by region and year. Don't waste filament - please verify your tray’s internal dimensions before starting your print to ensure compatibility with these baseplates. If your dimensions aren't listed, let me know in the comments and I’ll happily look into adding a new variant!

Please share pictures of your prints in the comments!

Don't hesitate to ask for specific measurements if your RASKOG trays have different measurements, also let me know if you want a particular edge or corner bin size that I haven't published.

I have not tested every single combination of bin/baseplate so please let me know in case you find any issues. I will more than happy to correct them.

This is a custom-fitted Gridfinity baseplates designed specifically for the 2025 updated version of the large IKEA RÅSKOG utility cart. These plates maximize your storage space by fitting the dimensions of the top, middle, and bottom trays perfectly.

Description

This is a set of Gridfinity baseplates tailored for the dimensions of the 2025 IKEA RÅSKOG utility cart. Please note that IKEA slightly alters dimensions over time; these are designed for the measurements listed below.

The RÅSKOG cart features a tapered design where the trays get progressively larger towards the bottom. I have designed three separate baseplates and custom edge and corner bins to utilize the maximum area for each tier. For the center, you can use regular Gridfinity bins - there are tons of good models on Makerworld.

Designed Dimensions: The models are designed with a 0.5mm tolerance (smaller than the tray) to ensure a snug, drop-in fit without scratching the paint or requiring force.

  • Top Tray: 281 x 395 mm
  • Middle Tray: 288 x 399 mm
  • Bottom Tray: 295 x 407 mm

I've also added other sizes based on community requests - please let me know if you would like another size:

  • Germany model: 290 x 407 mm
  • Old US/Canada model: 295 x 405 mm

Thanks for sharing this model. The base tray fits perfectly in each layer. However, when I try to put the edge and corner bins together, I notice that the corner bin only fits on one side, and the same corner fit won’t fit on the other side. If I try to squeeze both corner bins and the edge bin together into the tray, the tray will be pushed out a bit, and it won’t be perfectly laid in the cart. Is there a way to fix it ? Or there's another corner bin file ?

Glad you find it useful! Give me a thumbs up or a boost :) if it was helpful, and please share you make once you finish it! :) Which tray is this from (top/mid/bottom)? Concerning the corner piece, did you mirror it? It should fit properly if mirrored. I will upload pre-mirrored corners once I find the time. Right now, I'm focused on uploading all the edge files. PS: Don't throw the piece you printed, it fits on the diagonally opposed corner. PPS: I noticed your baseplate is lifting a bit, i tried to design everything snug. You can try gently warming it up with a hair dryer while pressing it in place. Let me know if it is too snug, and I'll increase the tolerance gaps a bit.

I see. I didn't mirror the corner piece. I print two exactly the same corner bin and squeeze all of them together onto the base plate, that's why the base plate is lifting . I'll post the result of using the mirrored corner bin on the oppose corner and see how it fits later.

Great, thanks for confirming, and thank you for the boost! :) Also, please note that so far, I have only published bins for the top tray. I am also planning on uploading slightly larger bins for the middle and bottom tray. The top tray bins should fit in all trays, but will be a bit "looser" in the lower trays.

i don’t know why, but it’s a bit too small for my IKEA trolley.

Hi! The measurements of the IKEA RÅSKOG cart varies by region and year. Can you please share when/where you bought this unit, and provide your tray’s internal dimensions? If your dimensions aren't listed, I’ll happily look into adding a new variant!

Thank you for following up, and for giving the new stars! :) If you're ok with it, do you think you could update the actual rating to 5 stars? I'd really appreciate it! :)

Printed bottom tray to fit the old version, working great - I trimmed all the buckets at 75mm to allow for the old wooden lids to fit (suspect it'll be similar dimensions for the new lids too, but I don't have them to measure). I franken-joined some corners with edges to make a 2x6 long corner option - fwiw, it fits diagonally on a 256x256x256 print bed.

Amazing, thanks for sharing a picture! By "old version" do you mean the pre-2025 295x405 mm one? I'm planning on releasing print profiles for it, but I'm happy to see your prints fine. Was it a tight fit? Thanks for the feedback on the 75mm height, I don't use the wooden lid, so I didn't think of it. I'll try to publish print profiles to accommodate this when I have time.

So, since uploading this I've gone around our house checking, and we own at least three variants - the one above is circa 2022 and exactly fits your bottom tray variant. I also have a circa 2024 variant that is about 2-3mm smaller and doesn't quite fit, and a 2026 version which requires the top tray variant. Ultimately, I learned IKEA can't be trusted to stick to anything :P

I printed the bottom bin grid knowing it would be a tight fit on my ~2017 RÅSKOG - the width is spot on, but it's ever so slightly too long. I measured 29.5cm × 40.5cm, and the bottom grid is 295mm × 407mm. That extra 2mm on the length is causing me issues, but I can get it to sit well with weight. Again, not an issue, because I knowingly printed it for a 2017 model and not the post 2025 update. The next print I thought about shortening each end by 1mm but I'm curious how that adjustment will impact the corner, long and short edge items. I'm guessing everything needs that adjustment? I really enjoyed your model, I thought the organizers were such a great idea so I'm looking to do what's necessary to ensure I can actually use those! My question: the corner bins and edge bins (long and short sides) — I'm assuming those will need to be adjusted to match as well?

Hi, the bins probably won't fit. Don't print them. Give me a few days (at most until the weekend), I'll be happy to publish print profiles for 295x405mm bon if you can: 1. Confirm those are the correct dimensions, and 2. Give feedback that it fits correctly after you print, since I have no means of testing the fit. :) Thanks!

Thank you for your patience! I just added new profiles for the 295 x 405mm tray. They are the ones prefixed as "Old large tray (295x405mm)" - please let me know how they fit and share some photos once you're done. Happy printing! :)

Any chance of models cut to fit on the A1 mini?

Yes of course, though It'll likely end up being 6 pieces instead of 4. Let me know which tray sizes you want to print and I can prioritize them - I'll try and upload them some time next week.

Hey! I uploaded a new print profile for the top tray cut for the A1 mini "Top tray (281 x 395 mm) - baseplate - A1 Mini", let me know if it works for you. I'm happy to upload other sizes once you confirm it's good. Thanks!

I have printed the A1 Mini profile, sad to say the measurements did not fit. Upon checking on the assembly view, the measurements seems quite off.

Hi, I'm having this issue with the base of the old bins getting all messed up by the support when I remove it . I'm new to 3D printing. Any idea how i can fix this?

Hello and thank you for your boost!! Apologies for the late response, I missed this earlier. This is quite normal when printing overhangs with support material similar to your printing filament. You can get nicer results by using dedicate support filament that does not adhere well to your main filament. But for hidden surfaces, it usually is not an issue.

Old large tray (295x405mm) - baseplate
Base plate fits my 2017 Raskog perfectly! This profile is sized right for the older models where all three tiers are the same dimensions (295x405mm). Great work on this one! Printed on Bambu A1.

I don't need to print this right now, but just for information, I thought I'd add that my cart has the same measurements on all three trays, and they don't match either of the ones you have listed 🙈 They are 288x404 - cart purchased in Sweden ca. 2016.

Wow - thanks for sharing! I'll publish print profiles for this whenever I get a minute! Ikea really is all over the place with those RASKOG tray dimensions!

No problem, thank you! 😄 They really are! I feel like it would be so much more expensive to keep getting new dimensions for their production lines... Especially since they're all within a few cm of each other...
