Description

This tool ensures correct and consistent spacing of the Asahom S1080 permanent outdoor LED lights. It also allows you to hold a mounting screw and the light puck with only one hand, while spacing the light correctly and allowing your other hand to fasten the screw with a drill.

I struggled a lot to be on a ladder while juggling the light, a spacing tool, a screw, and drill bit, all while remaining on the ladder and not falling to the ground.

There is a relief to allow the tool to fit snugly against the soffit surface and the wall surface, without the soffit track interfering. It can be used universally on either side of the lights.

The images show the process of loading a screw and the light puck into the tool. Once loaded, you can invert the tool and the screw will stay captive within the tool and light puck. You can then use a Milwaukee SQ#2 bit to fasten the screw and light to your soffit. This probably won't work with screws other than SQ2 heads, as a Phillips head driver likely won't fit through the hole. And even if it could, the nature of the Phillips design would mean the screw wouldn't be captive anymore.

I've also uploaded my model of the S1080 puck for use in other ways you may desire! Please be sure to likle, comment, and boost if you find any of this work useful!
