Karotte Planter

Karotte Planter is designed for easy 3D printing and comes with two models:
The main planter and a base that doubles as either a drip tray or a small stand.
It also includes a hanging version that only requires 5 mm thick rope for installation.
Update (02.06.2026):
The Karotte Planter was one of my first projects after returning to FDM printing nearly a year ago, and at the time I made a few design mistakes during the initial build.
I’ve recently created new print profiles for every version of the Karotte Planter, fixing those issues and adding even more printing options.
What’s new:
- Improved print quality, speed, and reduced filament usage
- Lower infill where possible
- Model topology adjustments for:
- Better surface quality
- More printable angles
- More consistent overall results
- New pre-made sizes added
New print profiles for the hanging version
These updates make the planter easier to print,
more efficient, and better looking overall.
The planter is available two height variations:
Regular: 155 mm wide, 96 mm tall (assembled)
Tall: 155 mm wide, 133 mm tall (assembled)
When printing the base for the hanging planter, make sure to use sufficient infill and wall thickness for strength.
The Hanging Planter features 6 mm holes on the top of the base for attaching rope.
You can find all the different Versions in the print proifles & .stl files.
Material recommendation:
I recommend using matte PLA for a smooth finish as it helps to spread the light and hide the layer lines.
