Description
Vermilion Bird Wadang originated from the ancient belief in the Four Symbols, symbolizing the south and the element of fire with the divine bird. It was prevalent in Han Dynasty architecture, embodying auspiciousness, warding off evil, and ritualistic symbolism, and is one of the important light and splendid patterns in Han Dynasty Wadang art.
