Introducing the Shamrock Shake (Mint Shake) Keychain!

Overview:

I designed this keychain to appear like those you may find at a fast food restaurant in celebration for the coming Saint Patrick's Day holiday. This design features two options to choose from, one with just the “shake” contents and another with a detailed disposable cup/lid to tie everything together. You can simply print only the parts you need for your preferred look of this keychain.

The lid snaps into place on the rim of the cup which also doubles as a spinning fidget!

Helpful Print Information:

Depending on which transparent PETG you use for the cup and lid parts, you may have to tweak your settings slightly to achieve a nice and clear print. The provided print profile uses Transparent Polymaker PETG.

A general tip if you do not know where to start for adjusting to your transparent filament is to increase your material temperature about 10 degrees (about 265 for PETG) and print at very slow speeds (20mms).

Additional Settings to consider:

Seam alignment was set to random to allow for a cleaner look with no obvious line running down the transparent parts (cup and lid). If you are not bothered by the seam feel free to change this setting.
COOLING - turn off or greatly reduce cooling for transparent PETG parts for best results.
Layer Height - can be changed for PETG parts to potentially increase transparency.
All parts were made to print SUPPORT FREE.

Assembly:

Step 1: Simply add a dot of glue to the hole shown on the whipped cream and press the red cherry in place.

Step 2: Simply glue the top section (whip cream/cherry) to the mint shake piece.

Step 2 Complete (Stop here if you prefer this look over the other and skip to Step 4 to install the keyring)

Step 3: Add Glue to the bottom of the clear cup and insert the whole assembly made in previous steps.

Step 4: Grab an open split ring from the linked keychain DIY kit and open the ring more to allow for more room to slide into the hole going from the cherry side of the straw.

Step 4 Complete (Step 4.1: you can now add the lid if you choose, this simply snaps over the rim of the cup)

Step 5: Add chain and split ring to the open mounting ring. All done!
