Description

Hi! This is my very first 3D modeling project! 🚀

I am currently learning Fusion 360 and I designed this box to organize 4 mini DC-DC Boost (Step-up) converters for my electronics projects. My goal was to create a secure, ventilated, and easy-to-mount enclosure.

Project Features:

  • Capacity: 4 individual compartments for the modules.
  • Lid: Snap-fit system with small side tabs (friction fit) to keep it in place. It features top openings for ventilation and component visibility.
  • Wiring: Aligned 4mm side holes for input and output wires.
  • Mounting: Side tabs ("ears") featuring counterbore holes to hide the screw heads when mounting to a surface.

Printing Settings:

  • Material: PLA or PETG.
  • Supports: No supports needed (print the lid laying flat next to the box).
  • Tolerance: The design uses tight tolerances (0.2mm) for a firm lid fit. Depending on your printer's accuracy, you might need to slightly adjust your flow rate or lightly sand the edges.

⚠️ Beginner Note: Since I am just starting my journey in 3D modeling, I know the design might not be perfect yet. I am open to and would greatly appreciate any recommendations, tips for improvement, or constructive feedback!

If you print this, please post a photo so I can see how it turned out! Happy making!
