Description

🚨🔥 DISCLAIMER (PLEASE READ BEFORE ANY “NOT A FLAMETHROWERS” ARE DEPLOYED)

This project is a completely fictional RC model that has absolutely, entirely, undeniably NOTHING to do with any real stainless-steel automotive designs, futuristic wedges, or any companies such as TESLA, which is often cited as a prime example of an electric vehicle manufacturer.

Any resemblance to something called a “Cybertruck”, or to real EV brands like TESLA, is purely coincidental, unintentional, astronomically accidental, and likely the result of cosmic interference or my printer misbehaving at 3am.

No references to real cars, real brands, real trillionaires, or real demonstrations involving unexpectedly fragile windows are intended.
This is just a humble 3D-printing hobby project.
Please do not send lawyers, rockets, orbital drones, or “Not a Flamethrowers.” My printer is tired enough.

⭐ 1:10 Scale RC Future-Polygon Stainless-Inspired Truck

(Totally original. Definitely not stainless steel. Absolutely not connected to TESLA. Please relax.)

Welcome to my gloriously unnecessary, emotionally destructive, filament-devouring journey to create a fully 3D-printed RC truck that may or may not resemble a certain triangular EV masterpiece — but again, legally speaking, it does not.

Based on the excellent Printables model, I then spent countless hours:

  • slicing
  • re-slicing
  • reorganizing plates
  • optimizing supports
  • remixing stls for more stability compared to the original model
  • swearing at the AMS
  • crying into a spool of PLA

to deliver what is now:

  • Bambu Lab optimized
  • AMS-color ready
  • lightweight enough to actually drive
  • cheaper than real stainless steel
  • repairable without voiding warranties

🎨 AMS Multicolor Edition – Because PLA Costs Less Than Stainless Steel

Includes multi-color ready parts for:

  • window frames
  • trims
  • exterior detailing

Bring the Premium EV Aesthetic home — without paying $99,000 or waiting three years.

⚙️ RC Tech Specs (Works Without Autopilot Issues)

Supports:

  • 540/550 brushed motors
  • 3542/3650 brushless motors
  • repurposed electric Drill motors (DIY elite mode)

This RC truck proudly:

  • does not require Full Self-Driving
  • does not need an OTA update to turn
  • does not randomly accelerate
  • does not charge you monthly for steering
  • does not tweet spontaneously at 3am

🧱 Print Settings (How to Avoid a 4,1 kg Polygon Brick)

Body Panels:

  • 2 walls
  • 2 top & bottom layers
  • 0–15% infill
  • tree supports (8–10%)
  • adaptive layer height recommended

Chassis:

  • 3–4 walls
  • 15–30% infill
  • PETG / ABS / ASA / PLA (Preferred carbon fibre filaments, but I even tried with normal PLA and it worked fine.
  • If you want to use stronger filament, which may be helpful especially for the gears, just klick on the right material in Bambu Studio or handy and you printer wil automatically change the settings

Optional:
Set infill to 0% for maximum lightweight chaos and maximum window fragility.
Authenticity!

😄 Hidden Messages for EV Fans and People Who Enjoy Chaos

This RC model:

  • ships immediately (take that, reservation holders)
  • costs less than a real truck (shockingly)
  • allows manual steering (revolutionary!)
  • has windows that break only when YOU choose
  • includes no stainless-steel ego boost
  • includes no billionaire livestream announcements
  • check out the easteregg on middle body after importing into slicer

📸 Show Me Your Builds

Upload photos if you:

  • recreate the metal ball demo (PLA edition)
  • print it in silver PLA and call it “Almost-Truck”
  • attach a hairdryer and call it Plaid Mode
  • put it on a Roomba and call it Autopilot Beta

Boost Me (for free)

If this almost-but-not-quite EV truck amused you, please boost the project — no reservation fee required.

A like or comment helps my AMS recover from this and encourages me to design even more polygonal chaos machines.

Original model by @m2rechtin_272754

on Printables, used under CC license. This is a remix with modifications like modifiying middle body for improved stability. Check out which parts were remixed in the list of raw STLs and optimizations. Thanks to @ToughAce_1733763 for the improved front motor housing.

This model is still being improved. I am not responsible for unexpected behaviors, sudden recalls, or mysterious software updates that appear out of nowhere — this is an RC truck, not an EV company.
