Fully 3D printed Case for the

Selpy CP1500 Photo Printer.

Very sturdy transport/storage case for your

Canon Selphy Mobile Photo Printer.

No hardware parts are needed.
However, if you wish, you can

use 5x70mm screws for the

closure (if you don't want to print the pins).

The pins have slight thickenings at the ends to allow

them to hold without glue.

You might need to smooth these slightly with a knife or file.

The only part that needs to be glued is where the handle is attached.

I printed the Box in PETG, but PLA i think its also fine.

I removed the text line "compact photo printer" because it was unreadable due to its size.

Ended up printing the insert in TPU. Bit of a mixed bag; it surely works, in theory it should risk scratching the printer and accessories less, which is a good thing. It's always hard though to get a perfect surface finish on large flat TPU panels (in this case the side walls), so there are a few small blemishes. But nothing major, I just put the bar high for my print quality. Using TPU does add a lot of weight. The insert uses just over half a spool, so it's heavy and costly compared to PLA or PETG (the entire case ended up costing about as much as the cheapest Amazon cases for the printer, though those aren't as 'customized' to the printer). So in hindsight, would I do it again in TPU? Probably not, at least not for the entire insert. Perhaps I would have split the insert in 2 and printed only the printer part in TPU. The model itself is great, had a few issues with the overhangs at the edges of the lid/case and the handle, but that might be partially due to the PETG and settings.

Replying to @muffypuffy_2011 :
Just a USB-C to USB-C cable from Amazon. Used together with a powerbank and an adapter.

What a great print. I love the Canon Selphy printer because of its mobility, but they do not have carrying bag or any solutions for taking it on the road. This case solved that problem! Canon should license this and offer it as an option. I was a little nervous because I knew how heavy the printer, cassette, the plug and all of the extra photo paper and ribbon is, but this was extremely well designed! The clips snap shut and are not opening unless you manually unclip them. the hinges for the lid and clips are also extremely sturdy. I like how the handle fixtures are set inside the lid, so that there is no risk of it coming loose. I like this design so much I’m going to use this for my projector, some camera lenses and some other tools and equipment that have waited patiently for a solution like this. THANK YOU for sharing!

Wow, what a great and detailed comment! I'm so glad you like my model, that motivates me. Thank you so much for sharing the pictures, it really does look great in pink. My wife keeps asking me why she "only" got it in black 🙈.

Storage is very convenient, but the power cord pressing is a small drawback

I love this box, I do. My printer absolutely hated printing it. This is the first larger scale print that I had issues with. It failed me right at the end and I did my best to make it work. Overall amazing design!

Nice design, I might print this for my printer. I wonder if the insert would be stiff enough if printed in TPU; it would protect the printer from scratches better.
