Akai EWI 4000s Wall Mount/Hanger
Print Profile(1)

Description
About the Original Model:
I wanted a way to hang my EWI 4000s on the wall for quite some time, but I couldn´t find any commercially available mounts (at least not at a reasonable price), so I did what anyone with a 3D printer would do: I made my own!
Using FreeCAD I created a couple of PLA prototypes and was quite pleased with the results. The final model is printed in PETG to minimize load-creep.
Printing:
I suggest using my print profile, as all the settings are already tuned. I highly recommend printing in PETG, as it holds up better in the long run and won´t suffer from load-creep as much as PLA. Tougher materials would also work (I have an A1, so no ABS for me, at least not without some hoops to jump through)
- Printed at 45º to maximize strength and avoid layer-line splitting (with supports, of course)
- 85% gyroid infill, with 100% infill around the mounting holes
Post-Processing:
No post-processing is required. You will however need a couple of 3mm screws for mounting
Future Plans:
- Redesign the screw holes to simplify alignment
