Description
MiSTer FPGA Case – Custom Remix (DE10-Nano + Analog IO + USB HUB)
This is a remix of an existing MiSTer FPGA case, adapted for a specific MiSTer stack configuration and a slightly different mounting approach.
The original design has been modified and extended to properly support the following hardware stack:
- Terasic DE10-Nano
- Analog IO Board
- USB HUB Board (powered from a USB port, not a 5.5mm jack)
- External USB HUB bridge adapter
The goal of this remix was to ensure proper fit, airflow, and a clean, seamless exterior for this exact setup, while keeping the original design philosophy intact.
What’s Included / Changed
- Adjusted internal geometry tailored to the listed MiSTer FPGA stack (it doesn't support Mister Pi variant)
- Covers the SOG switch and secondary microSD slot
- These features are rarely used in day-to-day operation
- Covering them results in a cleaner, more sleek exterior
- Optional printed standoffs
- Intended for users without metal standoffs under the USB HUB
- Fully optional - metal standoffs work just fine if you have them
- Two top cover variants:
- Top cover for 40×40×10 mm fan
- Top cover for 40×40×20 mm fan
- Designed for simple assembly and good airflow without over-complicating the case
Fan Compatibility
- The 40x40x10 mm top cover is standard and used most of the time.
- The 40×40×20 mm top cover was printed and tested with a
Sunon 40×40×20 MagLev fan (HA40201V4-000U-999) - Fit is perfect, with proper clearance and airflow
Buttons (Important)
The button model must be printed 3 times.
You have two options:
- Print “as-is” buttons
Use: MiSTer-Case-Buttons.stl - Buttons with rubber bumpers
- Designed to accept tiny rubber bumpers (~1 mm thick) on the bottom
- Helps reduce noise and gives a softer press feel
Use: MiSTer-Case-Buttons_for_bumpers_CC.stl
Please choose one of the two button files and print it three times.
Hardware Requirements
To mount the MiSTer FPGA stack to the bottom part:
- 4× M3×12 mm screws
To assemble all printed case parts:
- 10× M3×10 mm or M3×12 mm screws
(Both lengths work; use what you have available)
No threaded inserts are required beyond standard M3 hardware.
Printing Notes
- Standard FDM printer compatible
- Supports not required
- Designed for easy printing and clean assembly
- Fan openings are sized specifically for 40 mm square fans
- I printed it using PET-G
Credits
This model is a remix, not an original design.
Full credit goes to the original creator for the base model.
All modifications were made solely to support this specific MiSTer FPGA configuration and layout.
