Candle Molds for Engineers
I wanted to simplify the mold-making process for candle casting by 3D printing the mold directly This should also make more complex shapes possible I designed a rocket and replicated an M45 screw Now, even engineers and mechanics can get into the Christmas spirit
The seams are not completely flush, which is visible in the wax I trimmed this with a knife, or in the case of the screw, re-cut the thread with the mold The surface becomes somewhat dull there Post-processing the candle with a hairdryer could make the surface shine
