Description

CSI Flex-Stripper is a compact, purpose-built tool for micro-slitting 16 mm CSI ribbon cables to dramatically increase their flexibility without damaging the conductors.
Many CSI/FFC camera cables are too stiff for tight enclosures, gimbals, drones, and robotics. By slicing the ribbon into narrow, parallel segments, the cable becomes far more compliant and easier to route—while maintaining full electrical integrity.

The tool uses a pack of aligned No.11 hobby knife blades (Amazon-sourced) held at fixed spacing inside the printed housing. Feed the 16 mm cable through the guide slot and pull it across the blade pack; the result is clean, controlled cuts with consistent spacing. The internal guide channel and rear support grooves ensure proper alignment throughout the entire motion.

Typical applications:

  • Tight camera enclosures and sensor mounts
  • UAVs and robotics with demanding cable routing
  • Gimbals requiring high-flex camera cables
  • Jetson / Raspberry Pi CSI setups

Features:

  • Designed specifically for 16 mm CSI/FFC camera cables
  • Uses replaceable No.11 blades
  • Controlled, parallel micro-slits for maximum flexibility
  • Enclosed housing for safer handling
  • Alignment groove system for consistent feed and cutting
  • Optional mounting holes for fixed-position use

Printing notes:

  • Print at 0.08 mm extra-fine layer height for best blade alignment and tolerances
  • No supports needed
  • PLA or PETG recommended
  • Use increased wall thickness for durability
