Description

This custom bracket is specifically designed to mount the Arctic Liquid Freezer III radiator (notable for being thicker than standard AIO units) to the top panel of the Corsair 5000D PC case. It uses existing mounting holes — no cutting or case modification required.

The slimmer side of the bracket is intended to mount to the radiator, using the stock screws included with the AIO. The thicker side attaches to the case using standard PC fan screws.

If you use self-tapping screws (like Noctua models), avoid overdriving them — these screws remove material as they cut threads, and taking too much away can weaken the screw hold .

Design Notes

  • The bracket is designed so that it does not sit flush against the side of the radiator.
There should be ~1 mm of clearance to reduce heat transfer.
  • The mounting holes are elongated rather than round to provide flexibility in alignment and spacing.
  • The mounting process works best by loosely attaching the bracket to the radiator first, then adjusting and securing it to the case before tightening everything down.

Print & Material Recommendations

This mount lives in a warm, airflow-heavy zone near the radiator.

For durability and long-term stability:

✔ Recommended: ABS, PETG, ASA, or Nylon
✘ Not recommended: PLA (heat exposure may cause softening, warping, or failure)

I personally printed mine in ABS with excellent results.
