Chimecho Flexi

Chimecho #358:

This decorative model features a flexible tail and a hollow cavity to hold a bell (or multiple small bells) if you want your print to make noise similar to lore-accurate Chimecho. The model also has holes in the top knob allowing you to use thin string (fishing line or floss) to tie the model to something above it, whether that's a gutter or railway or ceiling!

The model comes in two general assembly types, in separate print profiles;

a. Permanent (pieces cannot be removed once glued together)

b. Removable Chime: The chime can be unscrewed allowing the maker to add or remove a bell

Both print profiles are A1-mini compatible!

Note: The default color scheme in both print profiles is the standard blue/red/yellow, but I thought changing the blue to green and the yellow to white made for a nice Christmas theme.

Note: The individual units of the flexible tail do overlap and fuse a bit during printing. When you remove the print from the bed, gently bend and twist the tail to break the fused plastic. Once separated, the links will remain strong and flexible.

Note: If you intend to print these for outdoor decoration, be aware that PLA is susceptible to the elements. ASA is far more resistant to UV light/heat making it a better choice for durable outdoor prints.

Note: The opening on the bottom has a diameter of 23mm so make sure your bell(s) are smaller than that
