This waste bin combines a 200mm spiral-wound duct with precise 3D printed components. The result is a calm, minimalist object that merges industrial material with a clean, functional form – without a visible trash bag and without unnecessary complexity

The bottom and top frames serve as edge protection and define the project's clean silhouette. The trash bag is placed over the narrow inner frame before the wide outer frame covers everything and gives the bin its calm appearance. Both frames are permanently fixed to the tube with all-purpose adhesive

Those who wish to use the project with a lid can add the separately printed lid holder. This is glued onto the outer frame with UHU Allplast and holds the lid using a shortened 3mm threaded rod, which serves as a hinge. Opening is smooth, the lid closes flush and follows the clear design language of the project

Assembly is simple: prepare the tube, place and glue the bottom and top frames, insert the trash bag, place the outer frame and – if desired – mount the lid holder. What remains is a functional, durable, and deliberately simple object. A small example of how experimental, pragmatic projects can work in everyday life
