IPAirBlast – Resin Print Part Dryer by DSC Automotive

I developed this dryer specifically for resin printed parts because it became too time-consuming for me to manually dry the components after the IPA bath in ongoing small-batch or mass production.
The IPAirBlast solves exactly this problem – efficient, modular, and space-saving.

💨 Functional Principle

The system works with up to three 40 mm fans that can direct air from bottom, middle, and top through the components. This ensures that even complex geometries are dried reliably and evenly.

We recommend using two fans in combination with a drying sieve (separate model to follow), which serves as a standing platform. The fans can be flexibly placed in the corners or at the front to optimally direct the airflow.

Alternatively, the IPAirBlast can also be used as a handheld device – ideal for quickly post-drying individual components. Primarily, however, the device is designed for stand-alone operation in combination with the drying table.

⚙️ Technical Notes

• Fan size: 40 × 40 mm
• Hole dimension: 32 mm (please note!)
• The holes are intended for heat-set inserts (brass inserts).
• Recommended fans: Arctic Standard 40 mm
• When installing, always pay attention to the airflow direction ("blowing direction") of the fans.

Depending on the setup, you can decide whether to mount all three fans or use only two for a directed airflow.

🧪 Practical Experience

We use the IPAirBlast daily in DSC production to dry resin housing parts and have achieved very good results with it.
Especially for components with cavities or narrow channels, the drying time is significantly reduced without leaving residues or streaks.
