Description

My new festive Christmas sleigh.
It includes opening side doors, and the decorations are customizable — you can place the stars and snowflakes however you like.

Easy to assemble and perfect for holiday displays and Christmas décor! 🎅✨

After assembling the main parts, choose the decorations and arrange them the way you want.

UPDATE:

I split the decoration plate into two plates: one with the smaller pieces and one with the rest.
Only print the small pieces if you really need them — they are quite tricky to handle and you’ll probably find you don’t need them anyway.

UPDATE 2:

Added 150% version

Great design! I did have to add a brim to the snowflakes, as I was having adhering issues with them. Very easy to put together and everything printed clean. Absolutely love it.

Result looks great. it's not perfect, but close to..easy to build. with the first version there should have been more top layers to get the white in a strong white. you uploaded a new plate with sides, and though it makes a difference it used about 10 filament changes, increasing print time. we found that the white even starts useless at layer 33, better change to 34. i am not expert in this field, so correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt there an option to make filament adjustments that one could change for themselves? i didnt see the option in the slicer. or it might be enough if in your original version there would be just a few layers extra for the gold (in my case white) and starting from one layer earlier than now is set? how can I support you in your competition?

too little space to add this: the little pieces are crazy small. mind you I upscaled to 125% to fit my needs (and 160 for the middle, the seat part). it was hard to see which could fit where but it was amusing to decorate. i needed a small hammer to get some pieces in (and once in, they wont come out again), for others I used a drop of glue.

Thank you so much for the detailed review and feedback! As you pointed out, the white appears at layer 23 (I suppose this is for the 125% version), but that’s because Bambu Studio automatically adds extra layers of color. I only painted the very top surface using the “Fill” tool, and the software extended the color down a bit. Since the 125% version is taller, it may increase the number of filament changes. My current profile has 7 color changes. How can I support you in your competition? I’m not sure how the judging works, but you can support me by giving a boost and rating the print profiles. About the small pieces: I agree with you. I made all decoration holes the same size, designed to fit tightly without glue. On my printed models, some parts fit very tightly, but I still didn’t use glue. Maybe it’s worth creating a ~150% version with adjusted clearances. Let me know if you have any further questions!

hi, im in the process of printing these. now I think it would be better if either you could add some layers at the top or if the filament changed at a previous layer since this way the white would be stronger. Could you maybe help me out on this?

Hi! I can create a separate print profile with two layers for coloring the top. By the way, did you change the flushing volumes? That could be the reason for your problem.

I don't think I did change that, didn't touch the option. thank you for the second profile, I'll try that! the first one is far done!

I was printing it out and noticed it was much smaller than your original model of the sleigh. Personally, I liked the other size better because I could put some nice tiny gifts in for a centerpiece etc. Can I just take every object on every plate and just increase it by the same X percent, print it and then it should still all fit together? That's my theory anyway. 😆

Hm, the sizes of the sleighs are the same. There is a 150% print profile. If you increase the size of the sleigh, some decorations may require gluing, but the main parts should still fit well.

The sled is great and prints easily. I highly recommend you add brims to the vertical prints to avoid bed adhesion issues. The decor for the outside of the sled could be much better. There are far too many pieces and some of them are comically small. Me and my daughter had to use a 5X magnifying glass and tweezers to set some of them. My suggestion for designed for a future version is “less is more” for the outside decor and focus on pieces that can be easily seen and grabbed by adult hands.

Thanks for the review! Looks like I have really small hands and good vision :) I wasn’t sure which decorations and how many of them would be used, so I included four pieces of each type. I’m planning to make a 150% version so the pieces won’t be so small.
