Description
You know what's annoying? Adjusting a variable capacitor every time you want to change frequencies. I've built this contraption that allows you to bring your own stepper motor and controller, and remotely adjust the capacitor.
There are a couple TPU parts, and they are all just slightly different diameter holes, pick whatever works best, or find your own way to attach the capacitor to the contraption.
Most capacitors for magloop antennas like this are scavenged and bought off Ebay, so the sled base, and coupling are built for my specific capacitor that some guy on ebay sold me, but in the photos I will give you the dimensions so you can plug your own gizmo into the contraption. The sled and couplers were the easy part.
The mounting hardware is built with 15mm coper tubing in mind. the “Amungus” swivel has a pause to add a screw and bolt to the middle to support the weight.
The 3mf file has the strengthen, orientation and support settings I used, and it hasn't fallen or broken into peices yet.
