Description

I love the TwelveSouth MagicBridge for keeping my Apple Magic Keyboard and Trackpad together on my desk. However, the one drawback to the MagicBridge is that it is flat. I like my keyboard to be raised/tilted a little for better ergonomics. So I designed this riser to fit underneath the MagicBridge. The raised round nubs on the surface line up and press fit into the three holes on the bottom of the MagicBridge. Abrakazzam! Magic!

The riser is split into parts with hexagon dowel connectors for easy assemply and arranged to fit all parts on one plate. The parts are labeled in the 3mf file to help you put it together. I printed using PLA. No need for a lot of infill or anything. It is plenty strong for it’s purpose. I did tweak the quality and strength settings to speed up the print since this sits under the keyboard and only the sides are visible. Feel free to tweak it if you want it to be a little prettier.

**THIS WILL ONLY FIT THE MAGICBRIDGE EXTENDED VERSION FOR THE 10-KEY KEYBOARD**

There is a version of the MagicBridge that TwelveSouth makes for the smaller/standard Magic Keyboard and Trackpad, but this will be too long for that.

Here’s a link to some info on the MagicBridge in case you’re not familiar. I do not think TwelveSouth is still selling them, but for those of us that have them, I thought this was a great addition. Maybe someone with more time can design a replica for those who want to try it out.

I’m still new to designing, and I’m sure I or others will improve this design. I just wanted to share!
