šŸ› ļø Make Fence Installation Easy

Installing a panel fence? Keeping the posts at the exact distance and perfectly vertical while the concrete sets is the hardest part.

This 3D printable Spacing & Alignment Jig is designed for standard 60x40mm (6x4cm) rectangular fence posts. It turns a difficult two-person job into a quick one-person task.

šŸ’” How it works

These brackets are designed to be screwed onto a wooden batten/lath or a metal profile. They act as a rigid template.

  1. Print 2 brackets.
  2. Screw them onto a wooden board (e.g., a roof batten) at the exact distance required for your fence panels (usually 250cm + mounting tolerance).
  3. Slide the brackets on the posts.
  4. Result: The jig holds the loose post at the perfect distance from the previous one and locks it in place, making it easy to level (plumb) and pour the concrete.

āœ… Key Features

  • Fits standard 60x40mm posts.
  • Maintains perfect spacing: No need to measure every single time.
  • Vertical Alignment: Helps keep the posts upright and aligned with the fence line.
  • Time Saver: Significantly speeds up the workflow.

šŸ–Øļø Print Settings

Since this is a functional tool that will be under some stress and likely used outdoors:

  • Material: PETG or ASA/ABS is recommended for durability (PLA+ is okay for a short time, but don't leave it in the hot sun too long).
  • Walls/Perimeters: 3 to 4 walls for strength.
  • Infill: 20-50% (Gyroid or Grid).
  • Supports: No.

šŸ”© Hardware Needed

  • Wood screws (to attach the bracket to your wooden batten).
  • Wooden batten/lath.
