Graduation Laurel Wreath

This laurel crown is a model I personally designed for my graduation.

I made it using my A1 Mini, and fortunately, my head isn't very large!

To achieve the best result, I recommend proceeding as follows:

1. First, print the base as a test: it requires little material and time, so it's easy to test before proceeding with the leaves. When it fits your head well, you can proceed to print the leaves.
2. I placed the base on my head and, with a heated hairdryer, molded it so that it perfectly took the shape of my head. Caution: heat it gently, otherwise the PLA might deform.
3. Once the base fits correctly, print the leaves. They attach through the holes on the base; I used PLA glue to prevent them from detaching. Afterwards, with a lighter, I slightly heated the stem of the leaves (for about half a second) to give them the desired shape.
4. Finally, I added the berries by gluing them to the leaves according to my personal taste.

The radius of the crown base that I used on my A1 Mini is about 9 cm. To understand better, I took a tape measure and wrapped it around my head, which measures 55 cm in circumference.

If your head is larger, you will need to slightly increase the size of the base. Caution: when you enlarge the base, you must also increase the size of the leaves by the same proportion, otherwise they will not fit correctly. The berries, however, you can leave at their original size, because they do not affect the crown's fit on the head.

In summary, this model is completely customizable: you can choose the shape of the leaves, berries, and especially the color you prefer. Perfect as a decoration for graduations, academic events, or as a unique gift.

Of course, for the A1 Mini, the maximum crown size is that of the project.

This model can be printed in both PLA, as I did, and PETG if you want a more durable crown.
