Avocado Germination Aid – Holder for Avocado Pits for Plant Propagation
This practical avocado germination aid was developed to make germinating an avocado pit particularly easy and successful. The part is simply placed on a glass or a small container and holds the avocado pit stably above the water – without toothpicks, without mess, without effort.
The wide contact surface ensures that the pit remains securely positioned while the underside hangs freely in the water. This allows the pit to absorb moisture evenly and begin to root and form a shoot in a few weeks. Perfect for anyone who wants to grow their own avocado tree.

How it works
- Clean the avocado pit and carefully remove the brown skin.
- Place the germination aid on a glass.
- Place the pit with the pointed end facing up into the opening.
- Fill the glass so that the lower part of the pit is in the water.
- Change the water every 3–5 days.
- After 3–8 weeks, the first roots will appear, followed shortly by the shoot.
- As soon as the shoot is about 15–20 cm long, the plant can be potted.
