Description

Generic parametric mounting bracket you can resize to fit almost any small device or object.
The preview image shows the three main dimensions you can change:

  • Length – total distance between the two screw tabs
  • Depth – how far the bracket extends under the object
  • Height – how high the side wall goes up

There is also a parameter for the screw diameter, which supports flat-head / countersunk screws up to M8.

Important about tolerances:

  • The screw diameter you enter is automatically increased by 0.2 mm to add clearance.
  • All other dimensions (Length, Depth, Height, etc.) are applied exactly as you set them, so you should include your own tolerances in those values depending on your printer and use case.

The examples in the images are just sample uses; the model itself is not tied to any specific device.

Good model but the parametric model maker setup is wrong. The values you can input are the outside dimensions of the bracket, not the inside ones. Attached picture is "90mm" length

Hi, thanks for the feedback! I’ve just uploaded a new version that fixes this. Thanks for letting me know.

length and depth match the space you are trying to create your object to fit in, but height is for the whole brackets height. Otherwise, after adjusting for that, turned out to be a great model. I made it to mount LED light bars under a shelf to illuminate a set of fish tanks. Thanks for your file!

Hi! Thanks for the feedback — you were totally right. I’ve fixed the “height” value. (hopefully no more mistakes 😅). Awesome use case with the LED bars for the fish tanks. Thanks for the comment!

I almost forgot to show my example. translucent works out great since the bracket on the other side will be in front of some LED diodes. thanks again! I'll test out the sizing update for another object and let you know how it works out.
