Description
This is an insert to organize and assist with play of the board game Twilight Imperium with its two expansions Prophesy of Kings and Thunder's Edge.

This is an adaption of an excellent insert that began here:

There are many changes though so no existing prints will be compatible.
Update May 2026
1) Add in bottom layer display for the Neutral ship box as was in the last update for the player boxes
2) Entirely new updates for the Objective and Score Display, now removed from the main print profile

3) Created a remix of the player marker and command tokens to fix a thickness issue and to have the full set ready to print multicolor and the right qty

Update Feb 2026
1) Put in a bottom layer display for what ship goes where within the player boxes. You can find a picture for this change. No physical change was made to the player boxes.
2) Room for sleeves of the event / faction cards. I adjusted the faction cards to be a bit higher and the events a bit lower to account for the space for the sleeves. I used Mayday Premium 70x120 and they come up right to the top.
3) I added a tray I made to fit Etsy acrylic clear space stands. You can find that as an additional profile.
Content Covered
This works for all FFG published content for the game with the following exceptions:
- I didn't make space for any of the alternate mode Twilight's Fall. I store this separately in an expansion box with MILTY printed draft tiles holders. A print profile for this may be coming from another user.
- I didn't leave space for the faction specific marker and command tokens. Even before the new printed cardboard versions in TE, I've swapped to color specific printed tokens. The files for these are here:

Other Files Pictures to potentially print
Pictured are a custom score and objective tracker found here:

Also pictured are printed tokens found here:

Within a separate Print Profile to this listing is a tray that I store the fractured tiles along with Etsy Acrylic space stands purchsed from here (two sets)

Sleeves
This does accommodate card sleeves for all of the small cards in the game, but not the event or faction summaries. The holders I made for those could likely be easily adjusted if someone would like that. The specific sleeves I used are Mayday Premium 7075 though I intend to test TitanShields soon. I believe at least those should fit fine if not other types. If you have questions on sleeves, feel free to ask and I can test.
Extras
I wanted extras that would enhance play for the game to be integrated into the box. This along with ease of setup and play were my primary goals in design. This led to some lift as seen in the photos.
- Strategy Card Stands: these are designed to pinch the cards just enough to be picked up easily. There are also spots to hold trade good tokens.
- Shared component trays: I have four separate ones all for containing for trade goods, 6 dice, and fighter / infantry subs. For a game often with large player counts having a tray per two players seemed a benefit.
- With sleeved cards the taller card tray stacks feel both space efficient and functional. Each has space for discards below which can be adjusted for additional space using the dividers. These boxes are prelabeled on both top and side to make it easy to know what's in each since this design is more obscure than face up stands.
- I've included a Speaker Stand and a spot to store it that can be found here:
3D Printable Twilight Imperium 4 Speaker Stand by Patrickson Day
- The faction cards are all stored in a single box. I created thin printed dividers for each one which contains the count of cards and any components to separately find. Faction components are stored close above that and clearly labeled. I tried something new though not necessary but I feel makes it a bit nicer - using plastibands so you can just pull up on the divider to pull up the cards together.

I made good use of the vector files found here for labels for these and others

- I kept the neutral player box to hold some of the odd shaped system tiles, but otherwise is also used for all of the fracture specific components for when they come into play. Since there's additional card space, I'm storing the full set of extra alliance reminder cards I had from the Codex printings so I can keep the TE prints with faction cards. This helps for which are now several game mechanisms that may pull on these randomly midgame.
Printing Guide
- I highly suggest using the profile instead of the individual files. I've made sure everything is colored for AMS printing with all of the PLA filament seen in the photos (all Bambu labs). Most is using the standard 0.2 profile with no support. There's one exception where I used PLA support and on a few plates I used a lower layer count.
- I printed everything on an X1C with a 0.4 nozzle. If anyone finds tolerances off for aspects that matters, feel free to let me know so I can post an alternative version.
- Total filament is about 4kg across all the 19 types I used with about 4d print time
