Presenting the Root Board Game System - Remix!

The original Root Board Game System by @extroodle was exceptional work, and was 95% the solution I wanted. The RBGS-R (pronounced “er-big-sir” by probably nobody) is a remix of almost every module, with tweaks and improvements that cover that last 5%.

Deck Tray

This module takes up the space of 2 regular faction modules side-by-side.

Tray Changes

Removed sloped bottom

Not only does a flat bottom use less filament, it allows it to hold 50% more cards than the original. For me, that means I can fit the original deck, the Exiles & Partisans deck, and Advanced Setup cards in the Tray, with plenty of room for more.

Added walls to the card wells

Presumably the main reason for the sloped bottom in the first place was because there were no walls holding the cards in. By shrinking the inner wall slightly, walls could be added instead to the outsides, so cards won’t slide out, even without the slopes.
