Description

This is a spare part for Makita DHP486Z. I dropped my drill on the floor and the fork lever which switches the direction of the motor broke. Since I could not find the original spare part online, I took apart the drill and made exact replica of the component.

Material:
The original piece is injection molded from nylon PA6-GF30, however I decided to print it from ASA. The part is not really load bearing component however it should survive the environmental conditions in which you will use the tool.

Printing:
Print with high resolution to get the details of the part. It is small component so you can use 100% infill. Add a brim for ASA to avoid warping.

Assembly:
See the attached photos with for dissassembling instructions. Make sure that you place the drill flat on the table when you take out the screws and ONLY remove one side of the enclosure. All components and wires inside are loose, and if you try to do it in your hands there is chance the internals will fall apart and you will turn a 3 min job into 1 hr side quest.

Compatibility:
The part was designed for DHP486Z impact drill however due to mass production of these triggers there is a high chance that the same spare part will fit very many other Makita models.

Thanks for looking and if this model helped you please leave a like consider a boost! :)
