Airtight PTFE Tube Pass-Through (with Strain Relief)
This connector allows a PTFE tube (Bowden Tube) to be fed airtight through an enclosure. It is ideal for filament dry boxes or printer enclosures where no humidity should enter.
The special design includes integrated strain relief (clamping ring/collet). This grips the tube firmly and prevents it from slipping out without narrowing the inner diameter for the filament. The cross-section in the photos shows this mechanism in detail.
Key Features:
- ✅ Airtight: Thanks to the rubber seals, the interior of the enclosure remains protected.
- ✅ Integrated Strain Relief: The tube sits firmly in place.
- ✅ Easy Installation: The system is simply screwed together.
🔧 Installation Instructions (see pictures)
- Insert the main part with one of the black rubber seals from the outside through the hole in the enclosure (e.g., acrylic plate).
- From the inside, tighten with the second seal and the large nut.
- Thread the small union nut and the white clamping ring (collet) onto the PTFE tube.
Insert the tube into the connector until it stops and hand-tighten the small nut. The clamping ring will now automatically secure the tube.
