This model also has a static display version, which is simpler to make: Volkswagen T1 Minibus - Static Model No Remote Control Motion Function from CuriousAnt MakerWorld: Free 3D Model Download
- The Volkswagen T1 is a classic and popular minibus, produced by Volkswagen from 1950 to 1979. It was widely used for commercial and personal purposes and became a memory for a generation
- The Volkswagen T1 is known for its unique exterior design. It features a rounded front end and a streamlined body, giving it a cute and friendly appearance. Its body dimensions are 4.1 meters long, 1.6 meters wide, and 1.8 meters high, a moderate size, making it very suitable for driving on city roads. Additionally, the T1 is equipped with large windows, providing excellent visibility and riding comfort
- The interior space of the T1 is highly flexible and can be adjusted according to different needs. It features adjustable seats and foldable tables, suitable for business meetings or dining. Furthermore, it also has a spacious trunk that can accommodate a large amount of cargo or luggage
- This model is designed based on this classic vehicle. The entire model is 298mm long, 127.6mm wide (excluding mirrors), and 120mm high. The appearance largely restores the original car's design, with some simplifications made for convenient 3D printing
- A common paint scheme for this model is a two-tone design (upper and lower parts), and you can choose your own color scheme. I printed a red and white version using the original filament colors and painted a yellow and white version with acrylics after printing a white model
- Both doors on the driver's cabin can be opened. The split door on the right side of the body can be opened. The trunk door can be opened. The electrical components are placed in the trunk, with ample space for you to arrange them as you wish, no fixed position is set for each component. You just need to secure the switch with hot glue or another suitable tool
- The front and rear axles are secured with eight screws. Since the body is 3D printed, it's not suitable for repeated screw assembly and disassembly, please try to avoid rework. If rework is necessary, it might lead to stripped screw holes, in which case glue can be used for assistance in securing
A static display version without the CyberBrick kit will be released later. Except for not being electric or remote-controlled, everything else will be the same as this version. Most parts will be interchangeable.
