Description

I have design a very compact and portable Adjustable Regulated Power Supply compatible with 2x2 gridfinity system and based on sk120 style DC DC Buck converters.

Its valid for this DC DC converters you cand find in aliexpress or amazon, like SK120: 

 

 

The idea is to power up using an USB C trigger board or 5.5x2,1 DC connector like this one:

 

I designet to use with 6x2mm magnets:

 

The 2 5.5x2.1 dc conectors allow to use one as an input and the second one as output if you need to conect more electronics with this kind of connector:

 

I use also 2 female banana style connectors for voltage output:

 

The PCB for the USB Trigger would pressure fit on the case. 

 

Depending on the tolerances of your printer and your used final parts you may adjust or touch up the holes for perfect fitting.

Thank you for a great job! I get really good print quality. Assembling was a big challenge for me. It was difficult to connect small parts inside small space. And my fingers is not very thick)

Hi, Thanks for the model. Super neat and all but 2 things: - I almost cried (joke ofc) when I saw the amount of support, having it in 2 parts would make sense as it would help installation as wellI - I cannot fully insert it :( On my model (a clone ? WZ3605E on aliexpress) the inductance would hit the DC-usb C converter. It seems in my case it's rotated 90 degrees :(

Hello! About the supports, it’s designed so it doesn’t need almost any of them, in my print (the one in the photos) came perfect with only minor internal supports. Please check I think the profile is uploaded this way. For the DC DC Converter fitment, could you share pictures? I only test with my exact model, I don’t have other variants to test fit them.

Hi and thanks for your feedback and cool design. When I mported into bambustudio it generated gazillions of tree support ( I have an A1 mini) For the buck converter this is the one I use https://www.banggood.com/fr/WZ3605E-CNC-DC-Buck-Boost-Converter-CC-CV-36V-5A-LCD-Power-Module-Adjustable-Regulated-Power-Supply-Constant-Voltmeter-Ammeter-p-1999853.html?cur_warehouse=CN as you can see the inductance is in along the case extent And last thing I will be able to fit a usb type C converter. I will just need to remove the slot you have made, mine is much more compact

Can you include the screen, potentiometer, and other components to manufacture it entirely

Hey @LSMORTEP. I love this design. Just curious as to how critical the ABS-GF filament is. Is there a particular reason you went with that?

hello, no need for this filament just love the easy to print and the finish of it. I also travel a lot in car and need to be stable when I keep it on the car in summer days
