Tapestry weaving frame generator
Print Profile(2)

Description
Tapestry weaving frame generator.
This weaving frame features holes along both the top and bottom edges, where the warp (vertical threads) are fastened. The weaving takes place directly within the frame, and once finished, you can simply attach threads to two of the top holes to hang it up. There’s no need to remove the warp for additional finishing, sewing, or other extra steps—when your weaving is complete, it’s already neat, tidy, and ready for
display!
I’ve prepared two print profiles, one with 20 holes and another one with 26 holes. Both print profiles have a rounded corner.
- For warping the 20-hole frame, I used two wingspans of medium sized thread.
For the 26-hole frame, I used three wingspans of medium sized thread.
The tapestry weaving frame generator lets you design a frame with dimensions tailored to your needs. You can adjust parameters such as the hole diameter, number of holes, spacing between holes, and even choose from three different corner styles, along with several other customizable options.
I have uploaded a text file which contains the parameters used to create the models on the print profiles - in case someone would like to adjust them further.
Parameters:
- Weaving frame parameters:
- Warp length: Sets the desired length of the warping threads, thereby defining the length of the weaving frame (mm).
- Weaving frame height: Specifies the height of the weaving frame (mm).
- Weaving frame border: Adds a border around all sides of the weaving frame (mm).
- Hole parameters:
- Amount of weaving holes: The total number of holes to be generated for warp threads.
- Hole diameter: The diameter of each hole (mm).
- Space between holes: The distance between each hole, measured from edge to edge (mm).
- Corner parameters:
