Description

I’ve been using a couple Elec3 Snowfall Projectors to illuminate the front of our home for the past couple of years. They work well, but the the projector has such a wide aspect that I’ve had to come up with creative ways to make sure the lights don’t spill over into our neighbor’s homes and annoy them.

This project includes a simple bracket that fits around the housing of the projector and is secured with an M4 (it’s tight – you could probably also use M3) button screw (at least 16mm) and nut. The barn doors are attached to the projector using M4x30 (also tight) button screws and nuts.

Once affixed and placed, you can adust the position of the barn doors to occlude the projection as needed.

Note: The photos are of an older revision. I have since changed the hinges for the top barn door and have added some structural reinforcement between the hinges and the panels for all of the barn doors.
