Dial indicator Holder Snapmaker U1

This fixture holds a standard 3/8 stem 1 inch travel dial indicator.  Go to the Movement screen and click home, then using the “Movement” screen jog the build plate high enough that the indicator will be able to touch it, then dock all your print heads and slide this unit on the print head carrier, put the rubber band on just to be safe. Turn the power off and manually position the print head carrier at all 4 corners while at the same time adjusting the knobs that are under the table.  This is a tried and true method to accurately dial in your heatbed. The U1 has automatic bed leveling, and like Bambu and others the closer the heatbed is to being parallel to the X, Y machine axis. The squarer your part will be and your leadscrews will be subject to far less wear. You can manually level your table using the built in tuning program built into your U1 It will emulate what this fixture does as you adjust the leveling knobs, but it only allows making sure the outside four corners are as close as possible. With this fixture you can indicate the whole surface and dial in the more often used center area.
