8in Stargate (Rotating Inner Ring)

Printed with a 0.4mm Nozzle, 0.12mm Layer Height, no supports needed.

Print inner rim on its flat face so that the symbols are facing up.

Print the outer rims on their front face so that the walls are open to the top.

Make sure to lightly sand the seams on the outer rim where the inner rim makes contact, otherwise the gear will bind up.  I would also suggest waiting an hour after the prints are done before final assembly as the plastic contracts slightly as it cools and can effect the fit/operation.

As far as assembly goes, just make sure to line up the gear opening in the outer rings.  The pegs should be a snug fit, but will still allow disassembly.  You can always apply some glue to the pegs for something more permanent but I would will give caution that if debris gets in-between the inner and outer rings, the gear will bind up.
