Description
You hit something with your mirror and now your side mirror no longer folds out electrically?
Usually, there's no way around a new complete mirror, as the electric motor isn't available separately, and certainly not the defective gear.
Here is my replacement gear for electric folding side mirrors!
This part fits the following vehicles:
-Fiat Ducato
-Peugeot Boxer
-Citroen Jumper6
-Opel Movano
-Ram Promaster
The gears are different for right and left and are labeled accordingly.
The top radii should be smoothed a bit with sandpaper so that the mirror remains easily movable by hand afterwards without destroying the gearing (see screenshot).
IMPORTANT:
I printed the spare part from PA6-CF from Bambulab. I enlarged it to 101% to compensate for the shrinkage during subsequent tempering at 80-120°C for 4h. It fit perfectly for me. If you want to produce it from other filaments, you should scale the gear back to 100%.
Note on removal:
You have to completely disassemble the mirror, this requires some experience and a good technical understanding. Instructions will follow depending on demand.
