Description

A simple, strong, easy to print Bolt Jig for the AR-15. I had designed this for a fellow Arfcommer but no reason not to share it out with everyone! It prints in three pieces for easy printing and assembly! It also has a Z-seam pocket (3MF is already properly sliced for this!) to give you perfectly clean threads, with zero filing or post-processing needed! Say goodbye to launching springs and pins into orbit!

I have an aluminum and steel version of this that I've used for years. This model works just as well. I went with 4 walls, 5 layers top and bottom, and 50% infill as insurance to make it more durable.

printed in PLA on P1S, printed great, threads were tight but I slowly worked then till smooth operation, easy does it. thanks for the print file!

Great design. The only issue is the end of the screw that presses into the bolt face also rotates against the ejector pin when you’re tightening it down. The ejector pin then carves away plastic material from the tool that works itself into the ejector socket. It would help to put a metal cap or something that can rotate between the bolt face and the tool when you screw it down. I may try hammering a brass thumbtack onto the end of the tool.

Great suggestion! Thanks for the tip! I've not noticed mine wearing down yet but may just be the material I used. PETG doesn't seem to mind too much but granted I don't use the tool super often, just a few times a year.
