This is a 3D-printed trophy inspired by the Danish Christmas tradition called “Mandelgave”, where the winner of the almond in the risalamande gets a small prize.

Hello Taylor I'm fairly new to the BambuLab ecosystem. I have done maybe 150 ish hours with my AMS2 pro and P2s. Now to the case ;) Your print fails consistently on filament swap. The knife doesn't cut off the filament completely. I might have found an issue. When I look at my other prints and compare them to yours, I found that yours change the filament settings under "Setting Overrides" -> "Retract amount before wipe" and "Long retraction when cut (experimental)" to enable. It can also be me :)

Hey Mufufu 😊 Thanks for taking the time to look into it — and welcome to the Bambu world! The filament-swap/cut issue isn’t related to the model itself. Cutting is handled by the AMS and slicer settings, so it can vary from printer to printer, humidity, filament condition, etc. You’re of course free to adjust the “retract before wipe” and “long retraction when cut” back to what normally works for you — different profiles behave differently for different people. But yeah, AMS can be a bit inconsistent at times 😉 Appreciate the feedback! 🙌

What printer and AMS are you running? Are you running “retract before wipe” and “long retraction when cut”? I will admit it took several hours of trouble shooting, since settings under filament, is done automatically, and I was not aware they followed.

Hey Mufufu 😊 Thanks for taking the time to look into it. I’m running a P1S with an AMS, and I checked my filament overrides just to be sure. I don’t have “retract before wipe” on, but I do have “long retraction when cut” enabled, with a value of 18mm. That’s just how my filament profile ended up being set — it’s not something from the STL. The AMS can be a bit picky, so things like filament condition, humidity or the knife getting dull can make the cut inconsistent. Sometimes turning off that long-retraction option or lowering it helps. But thanks for pointing it out — always nice when someone actually looks into things instead of just saying “it failed”. 😄
